Does anyone here have any experience using and setting up Cisco VPN accounts?
I use it often to allow me to connect to various networks for connecting to web servers etc. For these, the provided username and passwords work fine.
However, we have also got a VPN in the office network that allows me to connect from home (if I ever need to work from home for example).
The issue is that the person who is trying to set me up so that I can log on can't seem to get it right, and my log on details for the VPN just don't work.
I have tried someone else's details and they work correctly.
Do I need to tell the person setting this up (he is not really a network admin, but does that role along with his main job) any thing specific to get it working?
Is it just an extra privileges against my network account, or do I need a separate username/password for the Cisco login that then connects to my main network account?
I am thinking that he hasn't created the Cisco VPN account at all, which is why it won't connect when I try and user my credentials.
Thanks!
