citizenship test - do you think you can pass?

12 out of 20 :S some of the questions are pretty whacked tho. Not meaning it in any racial way at all but how does knowing about ulster scots or the ratio of muslims in any shape or fashion be relevant to being a (good) English citizen.

You have failed the practice citizenship test.

Questions answered correctly: 14 out of 24 (58%)

^ from the legit one.

13 but 14 because one of the questions claims pregnant women don't get free prescriptions when they do.

Well I got 12 then as I said they did, having a recent pregnant lady, I knew that. Pretty poor when I am true British mongrel as I have both and Scottish and Welsh to add to my English.

17. Really annoys me that this is a test for citizenship though, how about a test of your ability to read, write and speak English?

I agree with your point. Now if this test in administered in English only then it redeems itself slightly, however we know it won't be.

oh and I find it hilarious that the official test site is selling study guides for the test!

It is actually. Though they do offer it in Welsh and Gaelic if you're in Wales or Scotland.

The study guide is actually surprisingly important and is much better than the official 'Life in the UK' handbook.
What people don't seem to realise is that while the test may only be 24 multiple choice questions, those 24 questions are completely random and could be about anything contained within the 145 page handbook.
