Well; I ordered a nice item from a well known auction site and they use City Link as their delivery service.

Now; I'm at Uni, and the post system is quite confusing (for me anyway) - there are different 'offices' for each hall and whatever. But either way, every package I've ordered has managed to get here; or has been carded.

So, the item is scheduled for delivery on the 17/04/07 (Yesterday) so I check my post at 9am, and at 1am (this is when I'm allowed to collect the post) and found nothing.

I was a little disappointed but thought "Fair enough." it might arrive later. Well; I checked this morning at 9am, and there's nothing. No card, no nothing.

I've been frantically monitoring the "track parcel" thing on the City Link website and it seems like there wasn't even an attempt made on the delivery!

17:30 Monday, April 16, 2007 Goods collected
18:14 Monday, April 16, 2007 On route to delivery branch
05:59 Tuesday, April 17, 2007 Arrived at Delivery Branch
06:28 Tuesday, April 17, 2007 Goods loaded onto a van
06:40 Wednesday, April 18, 2007 Goods loaded onto a van

Now; I was hoping to be able to arrange for me to go to the depot and pick it up as I don't want to have to wait another day I've paid a delivery charge for which states next day.

What should I do? Should I wait until I can check my post again at 1am and then ring up to see if I can pick up at the depot (which is a 45 minute drive away, mind you)? Or should I call them now?

It has happened to me once where it seemingly just went around on the van all day and back to the depot.
It wasn't a next day delivery item though, I guess you could ask for a refund on the postage?

Maybe you could collect it from the depot if its close, saves waiting in for it etc, i would try to get a refund on the postage though, buts its an issue you'll have to take up with the sender, city link wont help with that.

Just found out they missed me yesterday, found i've been carded.

Well i would have got a card if they done there NO SWEARING jobs properly.

Must say, I have never had bad service with Citylink, on the one day I missed the delivery in the morning the driver came and re-delivered it at 5 :)

Dont even get me started on how shockingly poor City Stink are.

Two deliverys in 7 days from two different companines both FUBAR'ed by City Stink. To the point they carded my house number in a differnt sodding street the first time, and then delivered my second item to the same house the next week. And then expected me to go around to the house to collect it.

Its to the point that if any firm uses city link i will not shop with them - simple.
