City of heroes - query

so is it still working for anyone else? it was supposed to stop at midnight last night i think, yeah 5th aug 11.59pm. even if that was a US time then we're ahead of them not behind. unless they wanted everyone free till at least midnight last night, and because we would already be on monday they've given us till tonight?
can't see a thing on the uk/eu site to even say we had it free, just the news on the .com site which says ends last night.
either way, i too have been getting a LOT of team requests across a wide range of alt's and level's, 37(when i got bored) down to a few new ones i made this weekend. when the rikti attacked atlas there was a massive group fighting them of a range or levels so i joined in, was a bit silly tbh and seems almost pointless. i mean everyone just stood in a mass where they beamed down or whatever and defenders group buffed/healed and attackers just mass attacked with whatever they could, didn't really need to move, no tactics, couldn't see much due to so many aura's and beams and things. but i did enjoy it, might keep it going for another month or two.
that was on Union btw, definately not empty. you just got to remember that theres unlikely to be "that" many new players at all, which means lots of people are just doing what they do in WOW, messing about at lvl 50 doing hamidon raids and other stuff and the lower level area's are likely to be a lot quieter. area's, pve area's with massive amounts of people just means less people to attack for missions anyway, not hard to get a team, solo'ing its fine.

yeah you get your veterans rewards by clicking on your badges then finding the veterans tab which is the last one
so if its a costume piece like wings once you have claimed the reward you head to the tailors and the costume piece can be selected..you also get a free costume change token as well
the rikti invasion....there are badges available for killing 100 rikti, I think 25 bombs and 10 or 15 of the big floating metal thingies
if you get all 3 you get an accolade which grants resistance to psionic attacks
same as doing stuff in the new rikti war zone gets you slavage to access new costume parts such as the vanguard armour..I'm still playing after 27 months but have about 6 characters on the go at any one time it seems both in heros and villains
I just keep experimenting in the different character classes and mixture of power pools..and I still have not dipped into certain archetypes yet
because the episodes are done every so often they are quite quick at introducing new content...new power pools will be coming along at some point as will the epic characters for reaching lvl50 in villains (kheldians only available in heroes at the moment, but I want to be an evil black dwarf!)
and some archetypes/pools are much quicker at levelling than others..regen scrappers have a high survival rate
