Placed my order and was scheduled for delivery yesterday.
Worked all night Monday but stayed up all day Tuesday so as not to miss my delivery.

I even left a note on my front door asking the courier to knock loud (in case I nodded off).
Courier didn't show.....no courier, no "failed delivery" note.......nothing.

Sooooooo, I get up early today and wait home ALL DAY AGAIN......and for what???

Absolutely nothing, that's what.

This is despite my phoning courier depot to check they had my address right etc.
Goods apparently loaded onto van (for a second time) just after 8am today.

So, not only do these people fail to deliver, they also make false claims.

Pathetic.

Looks like I'll have to cancel my order and purchase from a store that uses a more reliable courier.....if one exists.

Extremely disappointed and annoyed.

I've had good service from them, probably because I live in the city centre. Anyway, the only I've had is with Royal Mail, they lost a package I ordered! :mad:

Talking about the courier OC use, not the store.
@cymatty: No I can't pick it up, depot is 30 miles away and I don't have a vehicle.

I paid for delivery not to go get it myself anyway????

I know its irritating when the courier doen't make it to your house during the rounds, but I'd hardly say its JUST Citylink... I've had that problem at least once with most couriers ive used.
RMSD Seems the most reliable.

I get great service. About every 3 months I build a PC and order atleast 2 parts from OcUK for each - all if budget is a bit bigger, I recieve it before I leave so at about 8:15. The guy also says enjoy building it.
 
Out of order the thread may be, in some opinions........but when you are told the next day, that the delivery is on it's way then it should turn up.

If OC-UK wanna delete the thread that's their prerogative.......
If folk want to defend/support poor service so be it.
 
only had a similar experience once and that was on a friday, was tracking it on the net, when all a sudden around 4pm it changed to "tried to deliver but no answer". Funny how I was sat in the room at the time looking out onto the road waiting.

I reckon he just wanted to finish early. Had a few things since and it's delivered fine.
 
i'll have to close this, however I will point out that most (all?) of the current courier serves in the same group as City Link have similar problems in some areas.

It's worth noting that City Link were chosen over Amtrack due to users of the forums voting for them.
