Imported they are about 22-25k I think. The FN2 (god awful UK one) comes in at 19-20k fully specced.
The FD2 has 240bhp and many refinements over the FN2 which is more or less the same as the old shape EP3 Type-R although with an earlier VTEC and higher limiter. Same engine however and nothing special or really gaining over the EP3.
The FD2 is what our new Civic Type-R should have been. If you want 5 doors, get one, but if you don't you could save some money and get a better looking Teg DC5.
As I said before, I think these are lovely. I think of them as the younger, better looking brother of my car that went to the gym instead of sitting in front of the TV eating crisps
But as much as I hate to admit it, £22,000 can buy a lot more than 5DR i-VTEC
200bhpcars are advertising theirs for £20k on the DC5 forum if anyone is seriously interested. And it's white - oh yes
Yes, that is true. But how many are a brand new 4 door drivers car? You could pick up a decent Evo, RS4 B5 etc. But then with the FD2 you'd have one of a very small minority of cars.
The problem is they sell the standard platform model over here. At least with the DC5 they didn't do that, even though they are becoming less and less rare.
