Clamshell packaging - awful stuff

... don't mention the war corned beef tin -- mans battle against those tins was done to death in a recent thread, the cost to the NHS.
(can't beat a decent hash irrespective of its economical virtues)

Ah! My electric can opener can open cans of corned beef if turned upside down.

Also the number of people with avocado hand. I take the stone with my hand and rest the avocado on a work top. If you need a knife to take out the stone, then your avocado isn't ripe.

I do have to agree with Cheesy - My go to tool on any clamshell is a pair of chicken cutting scissors and even then it's a struggle - Last night we had a Cheese dip in a crock pot and by time I had cut the vacuum packaging off most of cheese was on worktop and my fingers.
Another pain is bleach bottles or anything you have to squeeze two arrows and press down at same time -The wife and I both struggle with that.
It's also not unknown for me to go next door to open a bottle of wine.
All this is bought about by old age and oncoming of weak hands and arms.

So before anyone takes the **** just remember that you (hopefully) are heading in the right direction and on slope to age related problems. Yes you will get there -I never in my wildest dream thought I would get like my old man but be sure it's on it's way.

Hate to agree with cheesefest, but this packaging is terrible - especially if you buy something while travelling and aren't carrying a Stanley knife, scalpel or hammer in your luggage.
