Classic films / TV you have never seen?

I was thinking there are probably a few classics I am yet to watch in my advancing years. The Godfather trilogy is one which sticks out to me, but I never seem to have the patience to watch it.

Which classics are you yet to watch but keep putting off?

The Wire for me too. Despite everyone saying it's the best show ever it just doesn't stand out to me a something I have to watch for some reason.

Films probably some classic like Citizen Kane

Probably loads!
Godfather springs to mind. But I don't really watch non-fiction so there will be loads

Looking down a few lists looks like
-citizen kane
-casablanca
-pulp fiction

Just a few I haven't seen

On another forum someone posted this as their top 10 films and I haven’t seen any of them…!

Three Days of the Condor
A Patch of Blue
Papillon
The Graduate
Paris Blues
Singing In The Rain
In The Heat Of The Night
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Stormy Weather
Wild River

All well regarded films it seems… but nobody really talks about them. Might give them a whirl.

I've never seen Lord of the Rings nor the Hobbit but I have read the books. I have however seen the 1970s cartoon of LOTR that only got half completed because I think the main guy died before he could finish it.

Obvious classics I haven't seen but would like to see:

- Hunger Games
- Matrix series
- Top Gun
- Trainspotting...!
- Despicable Me / Minions
- Ice Age / Madagascar 2 onwards
- Armageddon
- some Disney remakes e.g. Mulan, the Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Wendy
- some Disney animations e.g. Inside Out, Coco
- Puss In Boots 2
- The Chronicles of Narnia
- most of the Mission Impossible films
- Mad Max 4
- Fast and Furious 2-10
- Highlander

Classics that I haven't seen and probably not interested in:

- most Marvel and Star Wars films
- more obvious classics like Titanic and Gone with the Wind
- the Twilight films
- The Passion of Christ
- Zootopia / Zoomania / Zootropolis / Zoo-copyright police / Zoowtfbbq

Classics that I haven't seen and not 100% sure about yet:

- the Transformers films
- Dirty Dancing
- Barbie / Barbenheimer :p

You have a loose definition of the word 'classic'. Hunger Games? lol.

TV:

Game of Thrones - I was never sure on this, everyone I know raved about the series at the time!
The Wire - Heard good things and next on the list.
The Sopranos - Started but didn't grab, might need to revisit.
Twin Peaks - Going back a few years but this series always intrigued me.

Film:

The original Hollywood blockbuster horrors starring Boris Karloff / Bela Lugosi! Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy, Wolfman - always put off as I'm too chicken :p
