Just a super quick question, I got my sonus claybar today in the mail but just need to know as I can't find the info anywhere! - Can Megs Speed Detailer:

The fastest way to enhance and maintain that "wet-look" finish with ESP Technology. Meguiars' advanced formula now makes it even easier to remove fresh contaminants, quickly and easily lifting away dust and fingerprints without scratching. It takes just minutes to restore that show car shine.

Be used as a lube for the claybar? Ia ssume it can going by the description and nowhere does it say "not" to use it as claybar lube?

Cheers!

Those little bottles work out really expensive, I use almost a bottle each time I clay the car. I use Meguiars Last Touch. Costs around £18 for 1 US gallon (3.78 litres), and you can dilute it 1:1 with water. Works out at £2.38 a litre. Very cheap compared to £6-8 for ~500ml in the little spray bottles.

I also use it when drying the car, priming applicator pads, removing polish... fantastic stuff. :)

Don't waste that stuff using a claybar. Use soapy water as already mentioned. A low concentration of your usual car shampoo is probably best because detergents like washing up liquid sometimes contain salts.

I must admit I used soapy water (Helfrauds advanced) on my Merc and clayed it and it came up a treat. I was left with a lot of residue which washed off fine.

Wasn't sure if it was such a good idea at the time.
