Clayface

This looks great, I hope DC keep going down this lower budget plot focused route rather than trying to compete head on with Marvel blockbusters. I've always thought DC had much more interesting villains, like Clayface and Mr Freeze, absolutely tragic backstories that drove them to what they become.

Not a big of horror fan myself, but this looks very well done and somebody remembered how to make a good trailer without spoiling the whole movie.

This could be very good indeed.

This isn't something that I was even aware of until I saw the trailer at the Cinema last weekend. will definitely be watching.

Nobody else seen this?

It was better than a few reviews I read had suggested to be honest. Really it's a body horror story more akin to Severance, than a comic book movie. There's no mention of Batman or any of his major criminal enemies, just a few nods to places in Gotham (The Narrows, Amusement Mile etc) and that the Gotham PD is corrupt.

18 rated. Not super gory, but Matt Hagen getting attacked and subsequent surgeries are particularly hard to watch. Last time I felt like that where I wanted to look away was occasionally watching 'The Pitt'

Performances were good, the story was decent enough. Probably could have done with a bit more time with Matt Hagan before his attack and maybe shown some darkness in his character first, because that only seemed to come out after the procedure but that's my only real criticism.

Oh, and the cast is mainly all British. Probably 80% of the main players, pretending to be American. Rob Brydon even pops up.

Would recommend it if you were on the fence.

Most of the reviews i seen and also posted was what did you watch last night thread but yeah this was probably one of the most enjoyable DC movies i watched in a while. It was very surprising how good it was. Loved the mix in genre here. Lead was very good as well.
