Cleaning advice

I have a Candy White VW Passat. The sills look dirty when they are not.

I’ve tried Autoglym tar remover to no avail.

What else can I try or is it a case of re-painting?

Yeah it’s going to need a photo.

Sills are often given a different type or under coat of paint which could add to this.

AG Tar isn’t the best, but it’s unlikely to be tar from your describe, what shampoo are you using?

Fall out maybe?.....little iron piece from break dust build up over the paintwork and start to "rust" themselves over the paint work and can be hard to shift without the right cleaner to "melt" it away.

But yea picture, could be dodgy paint.

Sounds like plastic sill covers and the paint on the plastic part no longer matches that of the bodywork.

I think I know what this is but hard to describe, I used a Clay Bar back and forth and it lifted the tea stain look it had.
