Unicorn blood generally does the trick for getting the thermal paste off.

I've only tried getting thermal paste off the one time, I used screen wipes. I'd advise against using them.

As for the paste that's a decent one. Usually the differences between good and brilliant pastes are 1-2 degrees Celsius as far as I'm aware. Plenty of sites out there which compare the different brands.

I use the same TIM remover and paste on all my processors, its fine.

Don't waste your money with expensive 'TIM cleaning fluid'. Just by a bottle of isopropanol for a couple of quid online it is the same thing.

I use Arcticlean thermal something or other remover, I can't remember exactly what it is called but it does a fantastic job. As mentioned above though isopropanol would do just as good a job at less of a financial outlay
