cleaning dust on 2407

whats the best way to clean the dust from the screen on my dell 2407?

I use a soft microfibre cloth on it every day...wipes away any dust. If it gets grimy or someone leaves a smudge on it I use foam cleaner, the stuff that's made for lcd's, drys very quickly and leaves no residue or smearing..it's made by servisol. I apply it with a 100% lint free dry wipe and then wipe with the microfirbre cloth.

I use my foot.

Seriously. It is in my living room atm. If it looks dusty I stretch out my foot and give it a quick once over

Clean yellow duser, jobs a good'un. No need for all these microfibre cloth rubbish as you never apply any pressure to wipe away dust anyway.

A duster will create static which in turn will attract more dust.

Little glasses cleaning cloth, the small ones you get with spectacles gets it all off.

As I said if it's only dust a decent micro fibre cloth does the job nicely. I recommend the megiaurs ones. OcUK sell them.

However to deal with smudges, streaks. etc which you will get you need a foam cleaner, applied with a link free wipe. I find foam cleaners don't leave any streaks unlike liquid cleaners or wet wipes.

i normally use a damp lint free cloth work's a treat on all lcd even with anti glare/x-black screen which don't care foam/spar cleaner cuase they leave streak mark's.

I picked up an RAC branded microfibre cloth from those famous pound stores. A true bargain I must say.
