Cleaning glasses

I always just clean mine on my t-shirt or a dry cloth then occasionally i'll wash them under the hot water tap which does the trick.

When I first got glasses (many years ago now!) I used to get annoyed with every tiny speck on the lenses, and would constantly be wiping them clean (usually with the soft cloth provided)... nowadays I barely notice the dust and stuff on my glasses. When they get really bad I just wash them under the tap, with a tiny bit of soap/washing up liquid.

Wear your glasses often, and you'll notice the dirt less and less.

At work (Specsavers) we use some meths and a very soft tissue, no smears at all

A little washing up liquid in the water will take everything off. Thats what I was told by my optician so it won't take off any protective coatings either.

Thats what i use. Just make sure theres no grit on your fingers before you start.

Slightly off topic, but i play golf, and it rains a lot, so my glasses get covered in rain drops. i hang on as long as i can before whiping them as i knkow they will smudge and just become streaky. any tips on solving this?

The cloth that came with the glasses or any specific type? Is it worth paying for scratch resistant coating? (i don't believe i got it on them).

I missed this - I have anti scratch on one pair of mine and they scratch just as easily as my plain plastic ones.

Get a microfibre cloth.

i have this spray in which you spray the lens and then clean with the cloth . it works well and made by specsavers i think
