Hi

Wife wants us to buy a pressurised soffit cleaner for £100 but how do you guys clean your soffits please?

We already have a pressure washer (Karcher K2), so I'm wondering if it'd be cheaper to figure out a way to use that?

I'm not sure of the process either really. Is special detergent required, or is a blast with fresh water normally sufficient?

Thanks.

Unless there is a long gadget to extend the pressure washer lance a tad so the water will reach the soffits (I'm guessing normal two storey building.)

Get some PVC cream cleaner if it's really dirty. Or Jiff does pretty much the same thing. Then blast it off with a hose.

I did my soffits recently using a ladder and at the same time checked and cleaned gutters & down pipes

Also a good opportunity to remove cobwebs etc

Mine are painted and I got great results with Turtlewax Wash and Wax

I'd just use a soft sweeping brush and keep dipping it in a bucket of water and PVC cream cleaner. Should be able to reach it from half way up the ladder. Then blast it off with a hose and job done.
