so I have most of my parts now for my first build.

I read I should wash out the components before putting them into my PC but whats the best way to do this?

There seems to be a mix of advise on Google, some saying use viniger others say just tap water will do...

suggestions?

Lmao. I was going to say, washing a motherboard!? :D hit the report post button ask ask for the thread to be moved, it'll get done when a Don sees it.

I wouldn't use tap water, maybe de ionised water/distilled water, wouldnt like to use vinegar either

just a rinse out should be sufficient

Best to flush the rads with de-ionised water as they often have small particles in them from manufacturing.

I'd also advise flushing your whole loop once it's complete with de-ionised water for a couple hours before you put in your coolant of choice - just to make sure it's nice and clean.

Isn't it better to flush components with warm tap water initially, then flush the loop with de-ionised?

I know tap water has nasties, but if you're just flushing the components then you will be emptying it all out and any that is left will be diluted to harmless levels with the de-ionised?

Radiators I would flush with hot tap water and then with de-ionised or distilled..

Blocks I generally just flush with de-ionised or distilled.

If these are all brought from new then you shouldn't need to do anything else.

Personally I just stick some tap water through a Britta filter jug

I just stick the water + a mild vinegar solution and run it through a spare D5 pump I've got. After a little while I'll then flush it with distilled water

Ok so what techniques do you use? I was going to set 2 buckets up. One with the solution of choice and 1 empty then pump the water out of the first bucket via the component into the empty bucket.
