Clear acrylic case - retro build?

So a few months ago I scored this excellent throwback to cheesier times! I've been trying to decide whether to throw EVERY LED EVER into it, or my entire bin of watercooling spares (or both?). I have a laser cutter so could do some interesting mods...

What does everyone think? Cheesy flashing lights, or 2005 retro?

Spot on, that was the main reason for the laser. No airflow!

Also, no cable management. Have to think about that one.

I got this for under £20 and was shocked. It's not in the best condition but a restoration project is right up my street

I'm SLIGHTLY tempted to use it as a model for a complete rebuild using fresh acrylic...

I've always wanted to see a full frosted acrylic case. I had an acrylic case back in the day but it got scratched and dusty too easily.

that case would be nice with current mobo's that have backplates on

dual 140/120mm fan cut outs in the bottom ?

Oh that's a great idea, I was thinking about inverting the layout anyway. Could do pure bottom to top airflow!

Those look handy! I might look at the PSU placement too as it's in the way of a radiator.

Considering I worked my way up from a 1985 RM Nimbus and through 486, Pentium, etc. it took me years to have an up to date PC. I sort of missed out on cold cathodes. I should pay my dues!

Don't worry about cable management.. Make it into a PC version of Orac from Blake 7

Throw all your leds/rgb/water you can in it.
