Clever things from the past

I tried the konami code on her bean but all I got was some moaning and screaming noises.

women are a mystery to me

Agree, it is really hard to tell if they are happy or annoyed,
Even when they stop moaning and screaming to go shopping, her bum still looks big. Then the moaning and screaming starts again

Man is creative and would have found another way of moving things faster and more cheaply.

This is the point that intrigues me the most.... does that mean, because we have Oil, that we are over reliant/lazy at delivering new ways of efficient transport?

I mean electric cars are taking forever to come around and even when they do, how long before they are the majority?

Are humans actually holding humans back in doing what we do best?

Drilling for oil is a modern phenomenon.

There is a gas deposit that has surfaced in Russia and has been burning for decades.
it didn't surface they dug thinking it was an oil field ;)

The site was identified by Soviet scientists in 1971. It was thought to be a substantial oil field site. The scientists set up a drilling rig and camp nearby, and started drilling operations to assess the quantity of gas reserve available at the site. As the Soviets were pleased with the success of finding the gas resources, they started storing the gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig and camp collapsed into a wide crater and disappeared. No lives were lost in the incident. However, large quantities of methane gas were released, creating an environmental problem and posing a potential danger to the people of the nearby villages.

Fearing the release of further poisonous gases from the cavern, the scientists decided to burn it off. They thought that it would be safer to burn it than to extract it from underground through expensive methods. Environmentally, gas firing is the next best solution when the circumstances are such that it cannot be extracted for use. At that time, expectations were that the gas would burn out within days, but it is still burning, more than four decades after it was set on fire.

bread always gets me seeing as it's been around for such a long time.
yea the ingredients etc are basic but it's not something you would expect someone to stumble upon by accident

I often think this about a lot of food. Like cheese, worcester sauce, pickle and Marmite. Also olives are completely inedible raw, and need to be processed for several months in brine. Who knew to wait that long.
