Hello,

The problem I have on my laptop is that all the keys do not function on my keyboard even when trying to reload Windows before any drivers can be installed, mainly the main enter key, backspace and some of the up/down/left/right keys plus others. I suspect the BIOS may be corrupt but don't now what I can do to resolve this. Can anyone please help.

Cheers

Sound like a hardware issue to be honest.

I also have a clevio, not happy with it.

The keyboard does work, however, when I type, the cursor often jumps to random positions so that I type half way through previous text and this gets to me... It does it all the time.

Another issue, is that when I originally got it, I wanted it for linux, and so I opted to not bother paying the extra for Windows, the trouble is, that Linux had a few issues and so, I decided to use my HP I7 for Linux as that works great with it, and I used Windows on this... Windows 7 installed but had some hardware that it could not resolve, so I went Windows 8.1 and it worked fine.

More recently, I have tried Windows 10 on it, and annoyingly, it installs absolutely perfectly withotu a single issue, and yet, on the very first restart, it hangs on the screen with a flashing circle/arrow and thats it!

It does this on a Win7 upgrade to 10 and a Win 8 to 10 and 8.1 to 10 plus a Win 10 on its own install.

Bloody thing.

Hello,

Just to give a bit more info on this problem I downloaded Windows 10 to a USB stick and did a clean install but because it would not allow me to install some of my software I decided to re install Windows 8 from the supplied OEM disk.

Since doing the above I have now found that the default keyboard settings do not function properly (even when doing a clean install again booting from the Windows 8 OEM disk from scratch) e.g. the backspace, the main enter/return key and some of the up/down/left/right arrow keys do not work at all. I have also found that when I Shut down the machine and then start up again it resumes from Hibernation mode. I suspect that somehow the BIOS has got corrupted.

I contacted Overclockers via web note with the above details and because it's out of Warranty they advised me to contact Clevo direct. I sent them an email last Tuesday but still waiting for a reply, I am wondering if they only deal with main dealers.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Cheers.
