Click of Death?

Hi

I have just tried an upgrade and am using the same hard drive and psu.

When I turn on the computer it cannot locate the drive and I am hearing a few clicks from it.

Is it dead? Can anything be done to recover it?

I am sure the cables are connected correctly.

Any help advice would be well received.

Change the cables just incase, but it does sound as if the HDD is dead. Do you have any important data on it?

Will give that a go and post back.

Just some photos really but anything vital I have backed up. Just annoying and it seems to have happened at the same time as my upgrade which is a little strange.

Tried that and no luck. Guess it's dead.

Have ordered a new hard drive and will do a fresh install.

Thanks for the advice anyway.
