Don't know if anyone has seen this before, but i couldnt find the answer with google.

When i try to print a document, it will ask me which device and how many copies (blah blah, the usual) and when I click 'Print' it comes up "Save file as..." and gives me a window to save the file as an *.xps document.

If I cancel, the print job cancels, and if i save it as anything (1.xps for example) it saves and then doesn't print.

However if I go into the xps document, it will print from that.

obviously this is a total pain in the ***, does anyone know how to avoid this XPS pallava?

cheers

I guess there is a problem with the piece of software detecting your printer. Strange though as it should get all devices from Windows.

The print to *.xps option does not actually allow you to print a document (as in on a physical piece of paper). It merely "prints" the document to a file (xps is a similar technology to PDF).

Hope this helps in anyway.

"Print to XPS" means save the document as an XPS file.

if you want to print it straight just choose print to "insert your printer here"
