Click the like button - please?!

I remember when people used to grow their channels by producing quality content on a consistant basis instead of begging for likes, comments and subscribes. Its all a race to the top now.

Honestly though, Doofer has a point. YouTube can be a toxic place which could really dent a 9 year olds confidence. Not saying ban him from it, but keep a very careful eye on the comments section specifically.

Ha! He is constantly checking his account and showing me how many likes/comments etc.

He is really pleased and to be honest he made the video, spent a lot of time editing it, adding the audio track etc. Not bad for a 9 year old i think and so i am pleased he is getting the likes.

For me it is a lesson in if you put the effort into something you can produce something worthwhile. It would be a shame if he did all that work and he sat on zero likes/comments - for some kids that would mean "well why should i bother?"

While I do agree to a degree, I'm somewhat reminded of J.K Simmons' "Good Job" speech in Whiplash... Don't know if you've seen it.

Ah, whatever. It put a smile on a young lad's face at the end of the day :)
