Have been riddled with issues setting this up on several AP's I've had lying around.
Looking for a wireless router / AP that supports client mode, requirement also that I can port forward to a device behind the client mode AP.

Need 4 or 5 of these so budget <£50ex each.

Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

edit: must be wireless, powerline etc will not be suitable as some will be in adjacent buildings. Cable run not practical either.

TP-Link's TL-WR702N does, as do some of their other models (can't remember which at the moment).

Entertainment/gaming adapters like TP-Link's TL-WA890EA could also be an option.

Thanks Bremen, I note the DCHP support on both which is an improvement on the WAP300N I've just been playing with tonight. I'll dig through manuals on them tomorrow to check for port forwarding - I have to be able to access devices behind theses APs from WAN.

You shouldn't need DHCP support. Once they're configured into client mode any attached devices will be able to access your primary DHCP server.

Port forwarding shouldn't be an problem. Just assign the device a static IP (or a DHCP reservation) and port forwarding will work as normal. In client mode there shouldn't be any firewall issues to deal with.
