Huge fan of this car, love the looks and ever since i sat in one and started it up, the noise on overrun was fantastic.

Seriously quick example thats had mucho's money spent on it!

Without clicking the link, guessing that Telford Mike's supercharged mk1

Sadev sequential box is pretty cool too (I think that's what it has).

Guy who owns the garage I go to has a red mk1 running nitrous

His theory was it's enough fun day to day and when he wants a burst on track or the strip he can have it. Also he has the Renault garage at his disposal to fix it if/when he breaks it.

Always loved the car but you dont get much back for how much they cost.

Still the looks and sound is amazing.

They will be good performance bargains in years to come I think, can already get a mk1 for less than 10k. The handling on the mk1 isn't as bad as was made out. It's like the early S2000, grips right to the limit then bang lets go, then they softened it up giving a bit more warning before throwing you into the hedge.

That give lives near me, seen it a few times on the way to work. Great cars, almost considered buying one but decided that 17k for a Mk2 was way too much money.

EDIT: not sure if that is the same guy actually.

I agree that its fast but can't agree on it sounding nice. I love the usual supercharged whine but that is a hugely annoying sound.

Doesn't sound "clean" though if you know what I mean? Not the perfect whine to me, has a few notes to it I don't find pelasing.

Well atleast he can drive well/relativly well, unlike some people.

Clio seems ok, but not my sort of thing..although superchargers are nice :cool:

HOLY HELL. The sound that think makes! like its about to take off!

but don't like the exterior at all. I'm one of these people who likes the car to look stock (because lets face it, it looks pretty damn nice at stock)

Annoying noise is the superchargers belt slipping, really annoying and I cant believe he wouldnt have fixed it!

Evo had a fantastic write up of the V6 in the 10k Heros article a few months back. General conclusion was that they can be difficult to drive but they force you to concentrate and actaully drive the car rather than just pilot it. I have massive respect for anyone mad/daft/brave enough to own one but I could never see myself behind the wheel of one

Of course, the lights are the icing on the cake for me though. Imo the clio v6 is one of the best looking cars about, why do that? Each to their own i guess!
