Clive Barker to remake... Hellraiser

On the subject of Hellraiser, typical OcUKer:

I can't recall a single remake that's turned out to be superior to the original (especially when they both feature the same writer and director...)

You've opened a tub here. Scarface, The Thing, Cape Fear, Little Shop of Horrors, Charlie and the chocolate factory, etc.

Alright they were shamelessly pinched from here but I do agree with them.

I remember there was another The Shining, not sure if it was a remake or a different take on the book, that I remember being pretty good.

Stand back! A-hum!

Oceans 11
Scarface
Little shop of horrors
Cape Fear
The Thing
The Fly
Invasion of the body snatchers ( 70's)
Evil Dead 2
Hairspray
Dirty rotten scoundrels
3:10 to Yuma
Heat
The Blob (the most underrated remake ever!!)

I thank you *takes a bow*

I heard quite awhile ago that Clive Barker is off this project now and their still going ahead with the remake, whoever is doing it now? I think his reasons for leaving the film was he started to lose creative control, and for some stupid reason thier redesigning pinhead??

Clive Barker is a great artist/writer/director, if he's in control of the film I'm sure he'd do a good job. I thought Midnight Meat Train was great.

I would hereby like to recant my previous statement that no good remakes are in existence. :D Some quality titles in there. But I have a good feeling that the Hellraiser remake won't be making it's way onto it.

Hellraiser 2 is the best out the lot;)will look forward to the remake though...the reason why there are so many remakes today is because THERE IS NOTHING ELSE LEFT TO DO AS IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE! This is why movies from the 1980s/90s were so unique and original in there ideas that it was simply the best era for movies....the new trend nowadays is make it all in 3d...then it will be 4d...zzZZzz
