I have an NVMe SSD arriving today (Sabrent 2TB rocket) and currently have my games are installed on a 500GB Samsung EVO SSD (D: )
Would it be best to clone the current D: with Macrium to the new SSD then just change drive letter and format the old drive?
I have decided probably not worth it using the new SSD for OS because I am limited by my x97 motherboard to PCEi 2x and a rather old BIOS (2015) To get it working as bootable OS probably is possible but may need a new BIOS and changing some settings. I also like keeping OS on a small SSD (120GB) which I regulaly clone to another 128GB SSD
update - doing this has worked fine
