Clone question

Mate wants me to clone his HDD over to a new SSD. He has Win 8 on his laptop. He is not happy about a clean install so will this work as it is meant for Win 7:

Anyone tried Paragon software to make an image and then transfer to an SSD?

I used macrium reflect to do mine over the weekend.

How did it go? Mate has Win 8 Laptop? He wants to clone Crive onto the SSD.
