Cloned Disk...

Hi peeps.


I cloned my 80 gig windows drive onto a 200gig drive, but cant get it to boot. 1st time I've tried it so bit of a novice, and any help would be muchly appreciated.

What software did you use? and did you clone the entire disk or just the partition. Also it may just require setting to be the active partition so boot up off a floppy boot disk, run up fdisk and check/set the disk to see if the partitions set as active to boot up off.

When you say can't boot, you mean Windows right? What's the exact error it gives?

& hope you've set new drive as default or first in the boot-sequence?

Yes windows, and yes i set the disk as first etc. Will try the Fdisk later on tonight. Thanks Teaf
