Hi all, just received my Samsung SSD 840 EVO, however I have bought the 'basic' package inadvertently without a SATA to USB 3.0 connector supplied! and do not have one in my possession!

Now I have the Samsung data migration software installed but unsure if it is appropriate and possible to still transfer/clone my current entire operating system and existing data from my current installed SSD ?

Or should I just purchase a said SATA to USB 3.0 connector and wait ?

Any advice most appreciated, thanks.

is it a desktop pc or laptop?

if desktop connect them internally,i found the Samsung migration tool to work fine

yes it will clone everything

Samsung migration tool it works but make sure to have a updated one from their site as I had problems with the one on the cd that comes with the ssd

Easeus Todo Backup Free.

I`ve used it dozens of times for cloning and producing backups.

It's given me no bother and is fairly easy to use.
