hi i have 2x256 samsung evo in raid 0 thinking of buying this.Samsung 1TB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE1T0BW)
is it possible to clone my raid to the new ssd.
thanks.

idk think you can,not sure if there's software that converts raid array to single drive?

cant remember off hand

I always assumed as the OS see the Raid 0 as 1 HDD it can be cloned to and from a single HDD but never tried to do so.

I tried it and it works, I used Acronis true image 2014 to clone a RAID0 SSD to another SSD. To the OS the drive is just a drive, regardless of the physical layer underneath.

thanks for replies i suppose if it dont work it only means a fresh install ! and lots of redownloading on steam i must remember to save anything important 1st.
FAHIM was the acronis true image a paid version ?

^^ Peep said it works, and do you have a WD HDD fitted to your PC?

If so get the free copy from WD site, but it must detect a WD HDD to work.

I used it to go from smaller SSD to newer larger one last month.

Hi yeah I bought the software. Had a copy from WD too....but it was a basic version, and didn't have many features, so I decided to buy it. But you will be doing a simple clone so should be fine.
