What benefits do diamond push ups have as apposed to standard, I currently do 3x12 standard with my feet up on a swiss ball so if it adds any benefit I will try and incoporate them into my routine.
 
Moogie, I think you're talking about swiss balls, not medicine balls.

Diamond press focuses heavily on the triceps, with some action on the 'inner' pec. It also works the rotator cuff and wrists for stability. It's hard, and trying to do them with your feet on a swissball cains your core.
