Close to pulling the trigger, thoughts?

I found it odd that DDR4 2133mhz RAM is quite expensive and there is hardly much choice. Bit then there are loads of 1151 DDR4 motherboards that only support 2133mhz RAM.

Will this system be OK using 2400mhz RAM in a 2133mhz motherboard? Will it gimp it much?

Is the Superflower PSU better then the Maverick, even though its 450w? Also, thats borderline for the GPU, is that OK?

I changed from the Zotac to the Palit GPU, shaved off a few quid.

How many you reckon I'll need? Just the front 120mm? Or front and side?

EDIT - crapola, the Palit GPU is out of stock. Any suggestions for a GTX 970?

Yes the Zotac i speced and has 5 years warranty.

Cheers, thats now in the bag :)

Thrown in 2x 120mm BitFenix fans, should do the trick right?

EDIT - Just saw your reply PastyMuncher, I am really trying to keep cost down, and yea, that small case for practically free is a great deal for me. Maybe in the future if I do a partial upgrade, I'll move it into a new home, like a Hermit Crab.

I just realised, my current, old rig has a 600w OCZ Modular PSU.

I'm think that might be better for this new rig?

Could OCUK modify my order now it's been placed, and I could look at getting a better MATX case?

But then u could also just put the 450w PSU in the old rig..

Decisions decisions!

Original spec was good for the price, the 970 is a good deal faster than the 960. Depending on the game though the i5 build may come out on top.

Well I did it again, and went with the i5 build.

I can get some mild OCing with the MSI board, and I've gone for 3000mhz RAM

I know the 970 is better, but for the price, the 960 OC seems good, and yea, the games I play, it should be more then adequate, and I can always replace it in a years time or so.

The i5 build seems to have a better upgrade path, with better RAM support, and the OCing of non-K Skylakes.
