Closed or open loop?

I have a water cooled PC setup (CPU, 2 x GPU) so I'm quite comfortable setting up water cooling.

I'm into BTC mining and I'm looking at some cards that need water cooling (they been reported to run at 90c +), the recommendation being a H80. People have mentioned that this insufficient to cool a card so I'm mulling over an open loop configuration.

The basic question is do open loop configurations perform better than closed loop?

I'm considering a combined Koolance dual pump / res, EK cpu blocks, MO-RA3 (for expansion) vs. H100 closed loops.

Thoughts and views appreciated.

Open loop undoubtedly. Cost a lot more but infinitely more effective.
The h100's et al are no better than decent air cooling.
The only downside to full on WC is the cost of the GPU blocks...
