bespoke suits are around $300 inc cashmere and silk

shirts are around $25-30 inc silk

they will only do shirts from your measurements, for suits you need to visit the shop

After I had my first suit made there they kept my final measurements on file and I can order by email, they charge me $70 delivery for a suit ( obviously the fit may not be as perfect as having it made there where you will have 3 or 4 fittings )

The sort of quality would cost you around £1000 over here , the shirts would probably be around £100 each

I am in Bangkok in about 12 weeks so will nip in and have my measurements updated ( as well as getting some stuff made while I am there )

Hmmm, I'll keep my eye out for you next time I'm in those places. Sporting the shorts as a way of distinguishing who you're? ;)

In particular, what do you buy from Boss/PS? An all rounder or just particular items, ie. shirts from Hugo Boss, jeans etc. from Paul Smith?

edit - tailor made suits can be bought for that little? Not that I'm in the market nor particularly need one, but when I do... I must check them out.

re Boss , I just tend to buy the orange and green label stuff ( casual )

Paul Smith I buy red ear jeans and london line for shirts etc

re the bespoke suits, by far east prices these guys are very expensive but comapred to UK stuff very cheap, many far east taolors are extremely poor but these are generally regarded as one of the best about ( along with one in Hong Kong who's name escapes me at the moment ) , you only have to read the reviews and look at their client lists to see their standards

A large amount of stuff you buy over here is the retailers markup, on "designer" clothes the retailer margins are in the region of 200%
