Cloud computing is nothing more than marketing hype around something that has been in existence for a very long time. The company i am working for has been "the cloud" for our customers for 30+ years.

Another reason (which I stupidly forgot to write in) for not going to the cloud would be legal/contractual obligations..

I'd be interested to know the definition of cloud followed for these questions as they're not very cloudy. Hosted yes, cloudy no?

Have a read of the NIST definition for example:
