Cloud Vs. Hosting?

Admittedly I haven't read most of the replies. And it depends on it's context but generally speaking Cloud is a 'buzzword' for SaaS (Software as a Service). And Cloud hosting is just distributed hosting using many servers utilising load balancing etc to avoid having a single point of failure but as proved by Media Temple has thus far been less than stellar.

That's just Media Temple - they can't even provide support which appears capable of a non-automated response, let alone run any form of advanced hosting environment
