Who else has seen this? I went to see it last night and although I liked it it in general the ending is a bit dissapointing and felt like it could have went on to fill in what happened after, what did you think?

I'm not going to say more because I know some people don't like spoilers ;)

I watched it last week - like yourself i thought the ending was a bit lame but the effects were good. The subway scene was pretty atmospheric and scary, I'll stop typing now - no spoilers here :p

yeah, (The next bit is a bit of a spoiler so don't read further) :) the subway was quite cool and what happened to the moody girl after she got injured - pop

Not seen it yet but I get the feeling that the posters and trailers are going to be more enticing than the film itself.

Same. From what my brother has said (he has seen it) it looks like scook94 is dead on - I'll either love or hate it. I'm trying to kill all the hype inside of me before I see it. Hard though. :p

I think it turns the typical monster movie on it's head and in usual Abrams fashion leaves more questions than it answers. Some of the best effects ive ever seen and characters you actually care about. Go see it unless you just want super monster madness destruction then go rent the crap that is Godzilla.

Going to watch this tonight, and am really looking forword to it im using it as a precursor to the quality of the trek movie (see sig) so im holding high hopes and after I AM LEGEND im not hoping for a non stop aciton movie though dont get me wrong i enjoyed legend aswell.

I thought the film on the whole was excellent. The monster was satisfying and the effects really were first class.

The downsides - The characters in the film were dispensable. I felt nothing towards any of them. I also thought the ending was a bit pants.

I agree with the characters too, there just wasn't any connection and you never really felt on the edge of your seat if they were in trouble.

I thought it was an excellant film (when it came out over here). But I think like people have said - it's one you'll either really like or really hate!
I liked the way it engrossed you in the film i.e the way it was shot/filmed

Going to watch it tonight so stay tuned for some thoughts when I return home hehe!

I have just seen it. I thought it was absolutely astonishing. You actually felt as though you were in NYC with the people.
