Cloverfield

LOL dude that video is crap lol, theres plenty of guys here who have SEEN it on the BIG screen something falls into the water, it miles away in the sea, way to far away for it to be anything small like a wave or boat wake.

Okay, just to put this to bed.
Are you saying its nothing to do with the white boat to the right of the film but something that happens way further back near the horizon?

Yea when you see it on the big screen its set back further, and you can see that their actually quite far out at sea, and that the boat would be quite far from the splash to the left.

Okay, I'll STFU then :D

Hehe i do see what you are getting at, but trust me ( ;) ) when you see it on the big screen you do see something actually fall from the sky into the water, i missed it first time but when i went again i was just fixed on watching that spot and saw it second time around :p

why are people being ***** the satellite is dropped in the water, fact.

OPEN YOUR EYES!!! watch the film propely next time ffs.

I definitely won't be bothering with this. I've also given up on LOST.

I can't be arsed with films that expect you to trawl the internet just to understand what you've seen. All these hidden things are a disgrace. You shouldn't have to watch films multiple times with a magnifying glass either. It should all be there on screen, but revealed in dramatic fashion.

IIt should all be there on screen, but revealed in dramatic fashion.

The biggest plot about this film is the amazing coincidences.

Not only is the cameraman the mate of the bloke who is going to work for the company that made/disturbed the monster BUT the camera while pointed at the bloke who's going to work for the company pans out to the sea and captures a satellite falling in the sea from the EXACT same company that he's going to work for.

I went to see this today @ Cineworld in Nottingham whilst waiting for my car to have something fitted. Now I don't know if it was the cinema I was in (never been there before) but the sound in the film was incredible. For me it has to be the best use of sound in any film I've ever seen. On top of that the film was very intense with a few shocking scenes. Very good performances all round, especially Hud or whatever his name was. He was funny. 9/10 from me.

Yeh the sound was immense. It was so loud all the way through and seemed strange when it flicked back to the previous recordings and the quiet parts.

Went and saw it tonight, I enjoyed it. Was entertaining, even if it did have a few let downs. would have been better to see less of the monster, and they should have ended it when the helicopter crashed. Other than that, good sound, great atmosphere, and pretty tense in places! :) 7/10

Yeah I'd agree mostly with that

I went and saw it at the cinema up here last night too, was a great film but they had the volume far too high and it was distorting the sound of the film which was annoying. But I was a bit disappointed to see so much of the monster, as rare says, it would have been more dramatic and intense to just keep seeing bits of it.

i watched this 2 weeks ago , tbh really hated it and dont reccomend it to friends.

hated the camera , made me wana fall asleep. No stroy line i felt kinda put out .. didnt have the erge to research the story either as i hated it.

Go see AVP2 if you wana see aliens ... (even then avp2 is another topic)

Went to see this last night and loved it. 1 person out of 6 thought it was awful and the rest loved it. The way it was filmed was refreshing in my opinion. Granted, at the start i thought 'This is going to get extremely annoying'. However, once the action started and you heard the first 'BOOM' as it were, i forgot all about it and couldn't take my eyes off the screen.

I told everyone something really important happens after the credits and we should stay to see/hear it. They were not best pleased.

[Spoilers]

I think it was when the helicopter crashed when it went silent for almost 30 seconds, was very strange to hear nothing for that period of time in a full cinema.

[/Spoilers]

Some goon behind me got on his phone half-way through the film, and when it went silent after the helicopter crash he said quite loudly "And it was all just a game".

It wasn't funny, it didn't even make sense, and it really ruined that really great bit of silence.

Then as he walked out I heard him complaining about how crap the film was.

Unbelievable.

I loved it by the way. Absolutely brilliant.

Hmm, 6/10. It wasn't crap, it wasn't great. Oh and yes lol something does drop into the sea, no idea what it was mind you (saw it at the cine earlier).
