I'm sure this may have been discussed before but I was thinking about this after listening to a podcast this morning in which it was said that Arsenal play 12 London derbies per season.
That means that a club like Newcastle or Sunderland have to travel 250 miles 6 times plus even longer trips to the South Coast clubs etc. Even trips to Villa and Wolves are quite a schlepp.
Mind you, if they all travel in private jets probably won't have much effect. Five or six hours up and down the A1 in a bus, on the other hand, must result in the loss of a few points, I'd say.
