The clutch in my girlfriend's previous car, which she owned from new, was knackered by 60k. I'm talking "full throttle in gears 1-4 caused slippage in a car with a 73bhp engine" knackered.

She has since heeded my advise on mechanical sympathy with her new car!

Funny that op's car was previously owned by a woman also. I would never buy a car owned by a woman they ride the clutch, Rev the crap out of it and leave it in gear too long. Don't get it when car dealerships plaster all over the car ad "woman owner" etc like its some kinda good thing. would make me run a mile.
