As somebody already replied and quoted me that kind of answers this.
This is very much a long term plan, not just for MasterCase 5, but all of our product lines. Everything is inspired by our slogan of "Make It Yours", so you can expect to see all of our products to be modular and customisable in some way! For instance, replaceable drivers in our new headsets should you wish to change the sound signature/audio characteristics. The MasterCase line up with replaceable panels in different colours and finishes (amongst a lot of other things).
What I am trying to say, this is not just the MasterCase 5 and a couple of accessories, but how Cooler Master will be working and moving forward. We are prepared to listen to the community for accessory ideas as well, so you all get the things you want to be able to customise your Cooler Master components and peripherals.
With our MasterCase series, the number (in this case the 5) denotes the size rather than features. So a 3 could be mATX while, say a 7 could be full tower. Though I can neither confirm nor deny *cough*
I love what CM are doing with this. There's so many times I have been stuck between a couple of items because one has a feature I'd much rather the other had and similar.
I won't be buying the case in question, but I really wish this became mainstream.

i haven't long upgraded to my CM690III, but would this be a better case for the long run as i start my first watercooling upgrade next week (had the kit for ages but EK sent replacement fittings)
Is that something real that will happen? I saw lots of hype and excitement about this case in regards to customisation options etc. but what I've ended up seeing recently has left me feeling a bit 'meh'.

In terms of customisation, there are a lot of things in the pipeline due before the end of the year and early next year. We have a team dedicated to planning these accessories, however we also want to hear what the community wants, and what they have to say!
I have watched a number of video reviews and read reviews and nowhere can I see the FULL capacity of this case for HDDs i.e. remove the 2 opticals and fit the extra 2 or 2 drive cages and see how many HDDs can sit behind three 140mm intakes....
