ok have abit of a wierd one i hope someone can shed some light on this.
my pc is the on in my sig, it has been overclocked since was built. ran perfectly stable the only strange thing was that if i disconnectred pc from mains completly then next time i booted i would get
cmos checksom error defaults reset at bottom of screen and i could eithe go to bios re enter me overclock or just continue.
this was not a problem as i never disconnect my pc from mains and its also running through ups soo power cuts are out. but recently about amonth ago i started getting the cmos checksum error randomly every couple of days i started my pc up even though power was never removed. last night i ran my cpu with out overclocking only thing i changed in bios was putting ram to 800mhz wich it is rated at instead of 667. and i got the message again this morning
what causes his message ??? what is a checksum error ? any ideas would be greatly apreciated. only other things that started happenng of late is my gfx card keep overheating and crashing but i have replacement on way for that/ could that be linked some how ?
is it anything to do with the battery thing on mobo ?
