Hey guys,

I'm looking for a CMS or perhaps a module for some CMS like wordpress that would allow me to have part of a website list tutorials for World of Warcraft. I'll be implimenting a forum into this also. Basically a system for news but also somewhere you can post guides into it in several catagorys like levelling, raiding, professions etc.

Any help on this would be grateful, cheers!

Wordpress wouldn't require any plugin/module to do that. It already has a comprehensive categorisation system for documenting articles such as tutorials.

Sounds like a fairly good fit, but then your requirements are quite ordinary, so the majority of CMSs are applicable.

I understand Wordpress having those and could easily bridge a forum with it also, however, when I make an article (guide for example as a class guide) and add it to a catagory, is there an option to hide it from being posted on the front page (I assume this would be done within the theme of only allowing certain catagory ID's to be posted in the news) to solve my issue?

No option per se to hide it, you'd have to build your own theme a bit. Not difficult to make a static homepage which shows specific tutorial ids if you want them there.

Another option which you should consider if you have problems with either of those is Silver Stripe. Neve used it before but have been playing around with it for a few days and im pretty impressed!

I never liked CMS but had a play with Joomla and was impressed. From the sounds of it you should be able to do that in Joomla along with other CMS's. Theres a few plug ins available that make menu listings better in joomla

You could change the publish date or use one of the many plugins available to do that.
