O i would be ****** if i had one of these :D

I could never have one of these things fitted, I'd be fine all week then come friday which is my day of driving like i stole the thing it'd average out at 1's across the board methinks!!

That's fine, 1/7 is not the average.

you would have 6 days of 5, and 1 day of 1 :D

People think these are terrible, but there not.

not as bad as Russia were everyone has to have a dash cam :D

That's fine if you live in a good postcode, and have a spare 7-10 grand etc etc for your first year or two of driving.

My first years insurance was only 1k, and that was with a fresh license. Don't see having a robot under the bonnet knocking much off that.

Haha more likely 4 days of perhaps 4....1 day of 1 and 2 days of 2 or 3.

It would be quite interesting to see how the box really rated your everyday driving mind you.

I wonder if there's an Android app to generate a similar report...:D

Great idea, i've just found a "driving skill monitor" that shall be tested tonight!

My friend was with insurethebox last year and he drives ludicrously fast, I mean, regularly does 50+ in 30's, constant 100-110 on the motorway etc. He never said we was penalised for it. Well if he was, it certainly didn't change his driving style in any way.

I wonder why night time is considered a dangerous time? Almost all my driving is during these hours and it's great, road to yourself most of the time, drive at your own pace, no stress. I dislike having to drive during the day.

I'm going to assume that they *think* you should be in bed at these hours, and are up to no good if you are indeed out and about :p

I have taken mine out in the hours mentioned and it was fine.

I suppose they do it based on the proportion of accidents to how many people are on the road at the time.

Just an engineer who comes round to your house and starts butchering your engine bay to fit the box, would love to hear how it affects warranty's on newer cars

No different from fitting an aftermarket alarm etc.

all it will be is a 3 wire tracker, box hard wired into permanent 12v feed with battery backup. a gsm aerial and a gps aerial. takes about 20 mins to fit.

Bell now do these stupid policies. They have gone from being my cheapest quotes to being another crap insurer. Least Admiral is sane still.

So does the machine relay the data realtime back to the insurer or just analyse your journeys and report back when you're parked?

What would happen if you were to have a flat battery for example?
