Co-op game with friends

Hi there
Looking some suggestions of some good co-op games on pc for me and a friend or 2 to play. I own about 600 games on steam Friday bundles and sales so most likely if you suggest something I may already own and haven't got around to it.

Power isn't a problem for the PCs either

Would like some suggestions for games that you could co-op in about 2-8hrz as it all depends work schedules etc.

What would you guys suggest.
Also you can add me if like

Borderlands 2: 9/10(If you are starting afresh)

Non-Story line (means you don't need to organise times to play) = Battlefield 4 or Diablo 3
With Story line = Borderlands 2 (up to 4 players) or Dying Light (just 2 I think)

Plays brilliantly for co-op in my opinion, the missions on hard made us work as a team to kill people, normal was just ez mode solo though.

Doesn't Far Cry 4 just have a weird co-op mode where everything basically becomes locked off when a friend joins, so you can't do much? Or can you do the campaign co-op?

Payday 2 is pretty good fun with friends (if you can stomach the constant DLC they're releasing!)

Dying Light is Co-Op isn't it? Basically an updated (and slightly less "silly") version of Dead Island

Dying light is drop in drop out co-op with the exception of 30 mins at the beginning. Slightly less silly dead Island? umm, it has zombies in but both play very differently.

I liked portal 2 and I think gears of war but u might need remake of that as old one had gfwl which isn't working now. I think. Oh and dead space was co-op dunno which of em I played maybe 3 or 2. For quick fun u can try worms games?

Fair enough, I've not actually played it much

A slightly different suggestion, but how about Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes? It's co-op, but not in the traditional sense, good fun to kill a few hours

No. You can browse maps that have been created by users and some are designed for co-op(difficulty). Had a great time the other night with my mate flying a helicopter(if you can call it that!), unlimited grenades just blowing everything to dust. Wish Just Cause 3 had co-op... Not done campaign co-op, due to me getting a bug every time I have tried to get to a point in the game(capture your first outpost) which unlocks it. Looks great, so my score might change as there isn't too many good user maps.

If you feel creative you can do your own map

Deadspace 3 was good, different pace and horror. 7.5/10.
