I've picked up Pandemic! and played a few games and found it great fun. Working together against a tough game is rewarding the relationship stress of competing with the better half in a game is avoided. :p

Does anyone have any other suggestions of good co-operative boardgames we can play? 2 player is ok but sometimes its nice to have friends over too so 4 players and up appreciated too.

Worst thread pimp/game recommendation EVAR!? :D:p

Been getting my co-operative kicks from:

Forbidden Island
Forbidden Desert
Zombicide (:p)
Pandemic (which you have :p)

Other suggestions would be:

Castle Panic
Shadows Over Camelot
Arkham Horror
Last Night on Earth

Should be able to find videos on YouTube for most of those including some episodes of Tabletop! :D

I have Flashpoint, but have only played it twice.

It has a family set of rules (which I have played with kids) and a normal set of rules (which I haven't tried yet).

It is a good, fast co-op experience.

It looks like Zombicide next then! Looks awesome and the prospect of painting up some survivors and zombies is exciting.

I might pick up Arkham Horror too as I have some big Cthulu fans amongst my friends.

Here's some slightly meatier alternatives

If you want pure co-op then there's also stuff like:
The Pathfinder Adventure Card Game
Defenders of the Realm
Space Alert
Space Cadets
Ghost Stories
Eldritch Horror (released today)

If you are happy with co-op versus one (or maybe two) :
Battlestar Galactica
Shadows Over Camelot
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Letters from Whitechapel

Gears of war, i own it and it is decent despite hating the franchise myself.
I will be getting one of the dungeons and dragons board games soon, such as Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon and there is one more. If you have a look around they seem to get really good reviews.

whatever you get tell us what you think!

Do you want 100% co-operative, or games where 1 player needs to play as the opposition? Some good co-operative games are Castle Ravenloft / Wrath of Ashardalon / Legend of Drizzt.

100% cooperative or 1 vs many both suit fine. I'll take a look at some of the D&D boardgames too, they sound interesting.

I've noticed that the prices on Amazon are really good for boardgames, is there a smaller online retailer/independant that even comes close to those prices as I'd rather order elsewhere when I can?

I'm looking to pick up a copy of Super Dungeon Explore for the christmas period, i've never actually played but have heard some very good things, looks sort of like a cartoony version of HeroQuest and has plenty of expansions.

As Confused said Gamelore are good.

I can also vouch for IGUK and BoardGameGuru

I'm tempted by that too - looks great. The models look really chunky and fun to paint.

I was very close to pledging on these too:

Shadows of Brimstone

and Mars Attacks

but need to get Zombicide painted up first.

There's a good deal of wargaming meets boardgaming co-op goodness coming out these days :)

Ok Arkham Horror has been ordered from Amazon as nowhere else had it in stock.

The D&D boardgames, Battlestar Galactica and of course Zombicide are all going on the christmas list!

Picked up my copy of Eldritch Horror last night and got a game in with 4 others. Without going into too much detail, I will say that I find it a decent improvement over Arkham Horror, the whole game is much tighter and plays much more fluid.

Managed to get it all done in a little over 2 & 1/2 hours, which isn't bad for 5 new players when only one of us has read the rule book, much quicker than Arkham Horror anyway.

That sounds like a big improvement. I like Arkham Horror but we ended up having to mod it massively to speed the games up.

Then Eldritch is more than worth a look. Also having a seperate rules & reference book speds up rules queries massively which makes the experience much more enjoyable. All the main rules are in one book and then deeper explanations are sumply buller pointed in the other.
