A Georgia man, who at an estate sale found what he believes to be the secret recipe for Coca-Cola, is attempting to sell the instructions on eBay for at least $5 million.

Surely no one is going to spend millions on a tatty piece of paper? He'd need some pretty strong proof that it is what he says it is for it to be worth a fraction of that.

Doesn't ebay charge fees that are some % of the reserve price when placing the ad (regardless of whether it's sold or not)? What will his come to??!!

I'm sure I read years ago that someone tried to sell the formula to Pepsi and Pepsi went to the police.

Surely in this day and age they can just analyze the fluid and find out whats in it anyhow. I'm sure Pepsi know how to make Coca Cola. If they wanted to.

I very much doubt the 'secret formula' is secret anymore - that **** would have be reversed engineered so much over the years that probably everyone in the industry that wants to know, does know.
