I was having a arguement / conversation with a mate over what video footage is shown on the telly. Be it 360, PS3 or PC.
I said 360/PC, he said PS3.
Can someone put me / him straight?
:D

I was going to post about this advert last night along the lines of is this not the Best gaming advert that has ever been put on telly. Actual gaming footage is key for me in these adds as i hate it when it's not. Looks stunning & i can't tell whether it's HD360 or HDPS3 as i have an old school telly.
Stunning advert though & as i am Fully in the White box fan club I'll say 360 & Hands off my Box :p

It looks exactly the same as my Xbox360, so I would hazard it's PS3 or Xbox360. I think the PC version looks slightly better.

Can't imagine them using the least best looking versions for an ad, the PC version is not all that much better IMO, would be hard pressed to tell the difference in most places :)

Considering the 360 version and the PS3 version look identical it can be either. The pc version again looks identical however it will be running higher texture settings / higher resolution (of course you won't really be able to tell this from a SD tv advert)

I always thought the majority of multiplatform games where shown on the 360. Just my own guess though. The high brightness on the PS3 one makes me think that it is the 360 version being shown.

For what its worth, ive got COD4 for both 360 and PS3 and the graphics are exactly the same on 1080p. I have to say that is the best advert for a 360/PS3 game yet.

Seems kinda pointless, why didn't you just keep the 360 version in the first place?

^ I said why above.

I didn't enjoy it when i got it first. Found it too much like the previous ones. United Offense was the best Call of Duty. It was just loads of little things that annoyed me about the game for example; Same textures used in every CoD ever made, Same little glitches that were in every CoD, Basically exactly the same gameplay which hasn't changed since the first one, Getting shot from when the enemy clearly can't see you when your flanking. There was just no innovation in this one. You could put WW2 weapons and vehicles in it and it would have been CoD 2 :p

I just want to get it again for a bit of MP fun.

I'm only talking about screenshots, which are noticably sharper and better looking, where as the TV advert doesn't have the sharpness, but looks more so like a console version.

It wouldn't be odd for them to advertise the most accessible version. You don't see PC game adverts that often unless they are attached to a console release either (such as Bioshock - which was also the Xbox version).

I dont have one anywhere near me :(

Nor do I bud as I'm just around the corner from you, I'm going to try ringing them to see if they will offer the same deal if you buy it online instead. They are also doing PGR4 half price but anyway back OT...

I have noticed that some of the multi platform releases have mainly been advertised for the PS3, Simpson's springs to mind as all the adverts I saw for the game were advertising it for the PS3 but didn't show it as available on any other platform.

It's whoever pays more.
Assassins Creed is advertised as PS3, Guitar Hero 3 is advertised as Xbox360.
Call of Duty 4 is advertised as both.
