is it just my system or is this game laggy as hell.
it seems to momentarily loose the connection all the time,
usually as someone gets ready to shoot.
 
the best i get is around 46 which if i remember right is
about the same as is get in css and that isn't anything like as laggy, just the odd time.

I get anything from about 30 to 100 when playing most servers but I don't suffer any lag at all. :confused:
 
The past few days I have had a few connection interupts but nothing really significant. Pings are around between 35-50 dependant on the server
 
hmm. not sure why i should be suffering then.
guess i'll have to ask around a little more.
as a side note, how do you add ip addys to the game?
can't seem to find it anywhere.

Use Xfire to do it :)

Check your LAN settings, try connecting direct to your modem and see if that solves it.. if its fine then check your port forwarding etc and perhaps try going DMZ whilst your playing :)

Do you use a router to connect to the internet? if so whats the make and i'll guide you through it :)

Ok First:

Open an IE Window, and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 (Failing that try 192.168.0.1 - If either of those dont work tell me..)

In theory one of those IPs should bring up a password prompt, in the Box it will be somethink default unless its been changed by another person, try Adminstrator and Password or Administrator, Administrator or 1234 you know those sorts.. once you've got this far let me know what options you have on screen :)
 
ah yes. this brings up the box to get into my router options.
it won't let me in by wireless, i'll have to set up my cable
with my laptop plugged directly into the router. won't be long.

oh dear.
i've still got the book and it tells me both should be admin,
which i remember from when i first set it up.
i don't remember changing them but it won't let me log on.

Select the list source as favourites in the game browser and from the favourites section choose add new favourite :)
 
Mine is sometimes laggy too!

i log on sometimes and it is perfect and i am getting pings of 30 ish, log on again and i get pings of 30 ish but it just lags and lags and lags!
