Hello,

I played COD 4 loads on my 360, but sold that over a year ago.

Now i got a laptop that is capable of playing games lol looking at picking up COD 4 for some online gaming !

Whats COD 4 like online, still plenty of server ?? is it over run with cheats ??

Views on COD 4 online please :)

Been playing this a lot recently. Currently it is my favourite online FPS.

It does bring out the rage in me but it is good fun, loads of servers around, and as you know plenty of gametypes, leveling up, unlocks etc. to keep you busy.

It seems the majority of servers are HC though. Perhaps it is my filters but it seems that whatever server I join it is HC (thus, this is what I prefer).

Come to think of it, it must be my filters :p

I had this problem until the 1.5 patch came out. Then they added a filter for hardcore mode. Winwin :D I set it to filter them out and haven't had to play on those dumb servers again. Until of course the weekend when I mistakenly followed Lyon into a game...
 
weird question, I want to buy COD4 but I am looking at buying a CD Key online, do I need the disk to play online?

You did need the disc at one time but not now
 
I just started it up again last night and came 5th out of about 17 on a clan server. Said I hadn't played in over 6 months so shocked I did so well, some clan guy said I didn't (my kill death ratio was 3:1 easily).

Next game, top of the leader board :D Clan guy and his friends weren't too happy with that :D
 
Avoid hardcore mode. Just makes it easier for muppets with machine guns to spray bullets whilst wildly shaking teh mouse back and forth to get one shot kills.
